[Radiant] Sitemap => stack level too deep

I was trying out the Sitemap recipe
( http://wiki.radiantcms.org/How_to_Make_a_Site_Map ) on my recently
created Dreamhost'ed site and found the recipe works nicely, but is
unable to create the complete sitemap for the small site.
I found a previous discussion on the stack level problem with the most
useful post at
http://lists.radiantcms.org/pipermail/radiant/2007-September/006437.html
In my case I found:
ruby stack $ ruby -e '$x=0;def r;$x+=1;r;end;r rescue puts $x';
540
machine stack? $ ulimit -s
unlimited
However I believe the stack problem is on the MySQL server which I
cannot access, though it reports:
mysql> \! ulimit -s
unlimited
Has anyone succeeded in creating such a sitemap on a Dreamhost (or other
shared host) Radiant site? I'd love to hear how you did it!
Thanks,
Bill Barnard
