[Radiant] Anybody used Comments extension?

Has anybody used the comments extension in setting up a blog with
Raidant? I have a strange problem with it. The comments are posted and I
can approve/unapprove comments without an issue, but none of the
comments show up on the page where the comment was left. I did some
digging into the pieces and it looks like it uses ActionMailer to send
the comment for approval from the author. Problem is, I have no idea
where to set my mail server information. Can somebody help me out and
tell me how I can get my mailer set up for the extension?

Also this line from the README.rdoc is confusing me: "To enable spam
protection, you will need to set your Akismet key and url in the Radiant
config." Does he mean the environment.rb in the config dir, or did I
miss some kind of global Radiant config?
