[Radiant] Access to request object from within tags

First of all I'd like to say hello to everyone and congratulate the
creators of this fine product. This CMS will work perfectly for my
needs given a bit of customization so thank you for producing it -
saves me a good deal of time.

I don't see any way to access the request object from within tags -
does it not make sense to expose it even though the resulting output
may be cached? Basically I would like to create a link_unless_current
tag that works within all page contexts.

I've tried to alter the site_controller, behavior.rb and page_context
to allow it but the @request always nil's out right when I want it to
work :).
