Radiant is not really designed to power community driven websites like
these. To be honest you are probably better off writing a completely
custom solution in Rails, or cobbling something together in PHP based on
existing systems which are great (like G2).
Radiant is designed more for personal Web sites or small business
brochure-like sites. It manages content really well, but it's not
designed for public sites with integrated photo galleries and forums.
It's possible that you could integrate something like Radiant with
Rforum (http://rforum.andreas-s.net/trac/) and Gullery
(http://nubyonrails.com/pages/gullery) or Tableau
(http://creativi.st/gallery), but honestly it will probably be a lot of
work as these are designed more for personal use than anything else.
