[Radiant] Can radiant b used to achive this.

Well i want to make a photography community site on the lines of
www.gfxartist.com , www.terminus1525.ca, www.phirebrush.com

Where the community votes for every subbmission from a artist and can
comment (like a forum)..

Now gfxartist has used probably SMARTY,php,and their own CMS.

terminus used Drupal,Gallery 2.Some one tells me that this combo is
heavy on resources and slows down sites.

Now that i have discovered Ruby on rails.I have decided to use it.
I was also pointed to Radiant CMS by ppl on the rails mailing list.

1.Can radiant b used to achive a website like gfxartist and others..
   Or do u guys have other suggestion.
2.Can G2 be intergrated with Radiant (RoR).Is there any other photo
   managment for RoR as good as G2.[G2 is gallery 2 is a photo managment
system]

pls post ur suggestion.
