I can't confirm this, but that early version of MySQL 4.0 might not  
have had InnoDB in. I did see a mention of InnoDB support for one  
platform not going in till 4.0.25, don't know if that was for all  
platforms, but it might well have been. I'd try upgrading my MySQL.
